Details

This collection of paper money includes the two dollar red seal note which is a United States note and back only by the credit of the United States government and was redeemable for gold or silver. The red seal distinguishes it from the green seal, which is the federal reserve note. The old silver certificate minted when the United States back their currency was silver in 1966. They were recalled and are no longer in circulation. This is from the rear 1935 series. The third example is a scarce bar note. The Joseph Walker bar was the US treasury secretary From December 21, 1968 to January 20, 1969 during the Linden Johnson presidency. Bar held the shortest term of any treasury secretary when he resigned only one dollar note printed with his signature located on the bottom right. These items are in protective sleeves.
